HRH--His Royal Highness? Happy Rug House? No, none of the above. Humphrey Ridley Humphrey is the origin of HRH. One of the Humphrey partners ended up with the entire operation, and my father Jimmy C. Sanford bought the operation from him. The company moved to Chatsworth in the 70's. We were a rug remanufacturer. We bought scrap carpet from the carpet mills and converted it into rugs.
Over the years, our emphasis has changed from small rugs to room-sized rugs and running line programs. While we have continued to have our core business as rugs, we have expanded more into specials, closeouts, and "one-shot deals." Our hope with this website is to attract customers to these "specials" as well as our regular products.
